Skylights
A skylight is a hole in your roof. Fitted properly it stays dry for decades; fitted badly it becomes the leak you chase for years. We are VELUX-certified installers and flash every unit to the manufacturer’s own specification.
Deck-mounted and curb-mounted
We fit both, along with VELUX solar-powered venting units that qualify for the federal solar tax credit on the unit and the installation.
Fitted with the roof
The right time to add or replace a skylight is during a roof replacement, while the deck is open and the flashing kit can be integrated into the new shingle courses properly.
Common questions
Will a skylight leak?
Not if the flashing kit matched to that unit and roof pitch is installed correctly. Nearly every leaking skylight we are called out to was fitted without one.
